
Ar 25 Mehefin, cyhoeddodd y Gweinidog dros Blant, Addysg, Dysgu Gydol Oes a Sgiliau ei bod yn sefydlu Grŵp Gorchwyl a Gorffen i Adolygu Addysg Uwch yng Nghymru. Hyd yn hyn, mae gwaith y Grŵp wedi canolbwyntio ar ran gyntaf y cylch gwaith, sef edrych ar drefniadau cyllid myfyrwyr. Mae Estyn wedi cyhoeddi ei rhaglen o arolygiadau ysgol ar gyfer tymor y gwanwyn 2009. Bydd cyfanswm o 110 o sefydliadau ledled Cymru yn cael eu harolygu. Dyrannwyd contractau i dimau o arolygwyr cofrestredig ymweld ag, ac adrodd ar, 89 ysgol gynradd, 14 ysgol uwchradd, 2 ysgol arbennig a 2 Uned Cyfeirio Disgyblion.
Hoffai e-skills DU atgoffa'r rhwydwiath darparwyr yng Nghymru fod canllaw arfer da Cymwysterau Technoleg Gwybodaeth (ITQ) ar gael ar wefan e-skills. Mae'n rhoi cyfeirnod a dull cefnogaeth defnyddiol ar gyfer darparwyr a chaiff ei ddiweddaru'n rheolaidd. Mae e-skills DU yn annog adborth gan ddarparwyr Cymru ac i hyn o beth mae'n gofyn am gyflwyno unrhyw astudiaethau achos diweddar ar gyfer eu defnyddio.
