
Mae'r Cod Ymddygiad wrth Deithio cyntaf i Gymru gyfan wedi'i gyhoeddi, a'i nod yw hyrwyddo ymddygiad da a gwella diogelwch disgyblion sy'n teithio i'r ysgol a'r coleg. Bydd y Cod yn dod i rym ar ddechrau tymor yr ysgol ym mis Ionawr y flwyddyn nesaf ac mae’n cwmpasu pob dull o deithio, fel y bws, y trên, cerdded a beicio, sy’n cael ei ddefnyddio gan ddisgyblion 5 - 19 oed.
Mae Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru wedi cytuno ar brif Fesur addysg newydd i roi’r hawl am y tro cyntaf i blant a phobl ifanc ag anghenion addysgol arbennig apelio mewn perthynas â’u haddysg. Bydd Mesur Addysg (Cymru) yn rhoi’r hawl i blant a phobl ifanc eu hunain gyflwyno apeliadau sy’n ymwneud â’u hanghenion addysgol arbennig a hawliadau gwahaniaethu ar sail anabledd i Dribiwnlys Anghenion Addysgol Arbennig Cymru (y Tribiwnlys).
Mae APADGOS yn cynnal adolygiad pwysig o’r trefniadau ar gyfer Datblygu Proffesiynol Parhaus, Rheoli Perfformiad a Safonau Proffesiynol ar draws Cymru. Bydd yr adolygiad yn canolbwyntio ar addysgu, cymorth dysgu a rolau arwain ar draws lleoliadau addysg gorfodol ac ôl-orfodol.
Mae prifysgolion Cymru wedi cael cymhelliad gwerth £10 miliwn i gynyddu eu gallu i godi arian. O dan y cynllun arian cyfatebol ar gyfer rhoi gwirfoddol, bydd CCAUC yn darparu arian ychwanegol – cyfatebol – ar gyfer rhoddion y mae sefydliadau addysg uwch (AU) yn eu derbyn gan gyrff ac unigolion, gan gynnwys cynfyfyrwyr. Cafodd y cynllun ei lansio’n swyddogol mewn digwyddiad yng Nghaerdydd heddiw gan Jane Hutt, AC, Gweinidog Addysg Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru.

The UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) is undertaking a one year project which aims to maximise the impact of the employer voice on the employment and skills system. We have conducted an initial phase of research to understand, within the current system, where the employer voice is effective, what can prevent the employer voice from having impact and ultimately how employer leadership of the employment and skills system can be improved. The project will result in recommendations to governments across the UK in April 2010.
This document sets out the Government strategy for sustaining the strength of higher education in this increasingly demanding and competitive environment. It aims to build a new national consensus between individuals, Government and employers as to how our higher education system should be supported, adapted and expanded.
This will be AoC’s 14th Annual Conference, taking place at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham. The event will focus on the development of ideas, tangible solutions and best practice strategies in rapidly changing circumstances economically, organisationally and politically.
In 2007/08, Ofsted conducted a survey to determine the impact of Train to Gain on skills in employment. This review, of a further 40 providers, identifies where strengths in Train to Gain provision have been sustained and what further improvements are needed.
