
Cyhoeddodd Jane Hutt, y Gweinidog Addysg, y bydd 40 o ysgolion a cholegau ar hyd a lled Cymru yn elwa ar fuddsoddiad cyfalaf gwerth bron £109 miliwn oddi wrth Lywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru.
Mae’r canllawiau hyn yn pennu cynnwys a gofynion y Rheoliadau Trefniadau Cydlafurio (Ysgolion a Gynhelir a Chyrff Addysg Bellach) (Cymru) 2008 a ddaeth i rym ar 31 Rhagfyr 2008. Mae’r rheoliadau yn rheoliadau galluogi sy’n golygu y gall ysgolion a cholegau barhau â’u trefniadau cydlafurio presennol os ydynt yn dymuno.
Crynodeb Ymatebion ar y Rheoliadau Drafft
Mae’r ddogfen hon yn ymgynghori ynghylch strategaeth ddrafft ar gyfer addysgu a dysgu ieithoedd tramor modern. Yn Y Wlad sy’n Dysgu: Gweledigaeth ar Waith cafodd ymrwymiad ei roi i adnewyddu Ieithoedd sy’n Cyfrif, sef strategaeth Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru ar gyfer ieithoedd tramor modern a hynny yng ngoleuni datblygiadau diweddar.
Cyhoeddodd Jane Hutt, y Gweinidog Addysg, y bydd grantiau ar gael yn 2009-10 ar gyfer llwybrau i addysgu ar sail cyflogaeth. Meddai Jane Hutt: Mae’r Rhaglen Athrawon Graddedig yn ffordd ychwanegol i amrywiaeth eang o bobl fynd i mewn i faes addysgu, ac mae o gymorth i recriwtio mewn meysydd penodol, yn enwedig ar gyfer y pynciau hynny sy’n cael blaenoriaeth o ran recriwtio yn y sector uwchradd.
Dyma’r prif bwyntiau o’r datganiad diweddaraf: Parhaodd merched i berfformio’n well na bechgyn ym mhob Cyfnod Allweddol, gyda’r bwlch mwyaf yng Nghyfnod Allweddol 3 a’r bwlch lleiaf yng Nghyfnod Allweddol 4; Roedd y bwlch rhwng y rhywiau ar ei leiaf ym Mathemateg a Gwyddoniaeth, ac ar ei fwyaf yn Saesneg a Chymraeg Iaith Gyntaf yng Nghyfnod Allweddol 1 i 3.

The number of first year enrolments on ITT courses (2,100) was 4 per cent lower than the previous year and 12 per cent lower than five years ago. 76 per cent of first year students on ITT courses in Wales were Welsh domiciled.

Cynhaliodd NIACE Dysgu Cymru brosiect ar ran Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru gyda’r nod o dynnu sylw at ffactorau llwyddiant ar gyfer ymgysylltu ag unigolion sy’n profi rhwystrau lluosog. Fel rhan o’r prosiect, bydd NIACE Dysgu Cymru yn hwyluso cynhadledd.
Cynhelir y gynhadledd undydd hon i lansio DVD sy’n cyflwyno canfyddiadau prosiect ymchwil Dwyieithrwydd, Llythrennedd a Dysgu mewn Addysg Bellach. Bydd y gynhadledd hefyd yn gyfle i drafod addysg ddwyieithog yng Nghymru.

A record number of adults gained vocational qualifications in the past academic year, according to National Statistics published today. The qualifications cover a range of skills and training giving people what they need to get work and get on at work, improving their chances of being employed. 320,600 adults achieved a full level 2 qualification (equivalent to five good GCSEs) in 2007/08. This is an increase of 36.5 per cent from 2006/07.
