Mae'r Gweinidog dros Addysg, Leighton Andrews, wedi pwysleisio pwysigrwydd Dysgu Seiliedig ar Waith yng Nghymru. Meddai Leighton Andrews: "I gryfhau ein heconomi, mae'n rhaid i ni ddarparu'r addysg a'r hyfforddiant gorau posibl ar gyfer ein dysgwyr Ôl-16, boed trwy Addysg Bellach neu Ddysgu Seiliedig ar Waith." Gwnaeth y Gweinidog y sylwadau wrth i Lywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru estyn ei gwahoddiad i ddarparwyr dysgu seiliedig ar waith dendro ar gyfer contractau dysgu yn 2011/14. Datganiad i’r wasg.
Ochr yn ochr â sgiliaucymru, mae’r Adran Plant, Addysg, Dysgu Gydol Oes a Sgiliau yn cynnal cynhadledd addysgol ar 17 Medi. Bydd y Gynhadledd yn canolbwyntio ar les emosiynol a chymdeithasol disgyblion, myfyrwyr ac athrawon yng Nghymru.
Mae’r llyfryn diwygiedig - Pam y mae angen datblygu meddwl ac asesu ar gyfer dysgu - yn rhan o gyfres o ganllawiau er mwyn cynorthwyo ymarferwyr i gyflwyno dysgu ac addysgu o ansawdd uwch drwy ganolbwyntio ar ddatblygu meddwl ac asesu ar gyfer dysgu.
Tynnir sylw penaethiaid a phrifathrawon at y ffaith bod Llywodraeth glymblaid y DU wedi cyhoeddi ei bod yn fwriad ganddi adolygu’r drefn Fetio a Gwahardd a’r drefn sy’n ymwneud â chofnodion troseddol. Roedd y broses gofrestru wirfoddol dan y Cynllun Fetio a Gwahardd newydd i fod i ddechrau ar 26 Gorffennaf 2010, ond ni fydd yn mynd rhagddi bellach. Caiff rhagor o wybodaeth ei hanfon atoch ar ôl i’r adolygiad ddod i ben.
Fel y nodais yn fy Natganiad i’r Cynulliad ar 29 Mehefin, rhaid inni adeiladu system addysg uwch gynhwysol a hygyrch sy’n gallu ymateb i anghenion Cymru. Rhan hanfodol o hyn yw’r angen i addysg uwch chwarae rhan llawer amlycach wrth ddarparu’r sgiliau sydd eu hangen ar economi Cymru a’i gweithlu i arloesi a chystadlu.
Mae Comisiwn yn chwilio am geisiadau er mwyn penodi aelodau i Bwyllgor Cymru-Wales. Crëwyd Comisiwn Cenedlaethol y DU (UKNC) ym mis Gorffennaf 2004 ac mae’n ganolbwynt i bolisïau a gweithgareddau sy’n gysylltiedig ag UNESCO yn y DU. Caiff Pwyllgor Cymru-Wales yr UKNC ei gyllido gan Lywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru. Y dyddiad cau ar gyfer ceisiadau yw 12 Awst 2010.
