Dywedodd y byddai rhaid darparu gwell gwasanaethau cyhoeddus heb unrhyw gynnydd mewn gwariant, ond rhybuddiodd o doriadau cyffredinol.

Cynhadledd Lansio Rhaglen Ysgolion yr 21ain Ganrif yw man cychwyn rhaglen fuddsoddi fawr hir-dymor ar gyfer ysgolion a gynhelir gan Lywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru, gyda’r nod o gyflawni amgylcheddau ysgol o’r radd flaenaf i bob person ifanc yng Nghymru. Mae’n cynrychioli cydweithrediad unigryw a chyffrous rhwng y llywodraeth ganolog a lleol.
Mi fydd y gynhadleddd genedlaethol yn edrych ar ffyrdd o gyflawni rhagoriaeth mewn llythrennedd a rhifedd ar gyfer dysgwyr o’r blynyddoedd cynnar iawn hyd at ddiwedd Cyfnod Allweddol 3. Mae’r rhaglen wedi cael ei chynllunio i hyrwyddo gwella ysgolion yn ogystal â chyfrannu at gyfleoedd i rannu arfer dda yn ehangach trwy rwydweithiau dysgu proffesiynol.
Mae’r ddogfen hon yn darparu arweiniad i gyrff llywodraethol a phenaethiaid ar faterion yn ymwneud â gweithredu neu newid polisi ymddangosiad a gwisg ysgol.
Mae’r dogfen yn cynnwys cymhariaeth o ddangosyddion addysg y llwyddwyd i gasglu data cymaradwy cadarn i Gymru ar ei chyfer.
Mae’r Gweinidog Addysg, Leighton Andrews, wedi agor canolfan hyfforddi ITEC newydd fydd yn helpu i ddarparu rhaglenni hyfforddi ITEC gwerth mwy na £5 miliwn o arian Llywodraeth y Cynulliad ledled Cymru ar gyfer 2009/10.

The Empowering Young People were part of the ten year youth strategy for positive activities, published in July 2007. The aim of the pilots was to make funds available so that the most disadvantaged young people in nine pilot areas could access positive activities.
A college in Oxford is helping to reduce unemployment in the county thanks to an innovative approach to finding jobs for students and the long-term unemployed. Oxford and Cherwell Valley College’s Jobfinder scheme is matching its own apprentices with employers and helping to find jobs for those out of work who have received training from the college, especially so for those out of work for more than six months.
