The ECOS Commission of the Committee of the Regions is about to draft an opinion on Commission's Communication on Mobility, an instrument for more and better jobs: "Job Mobility Action Plan 2007-2010" (COM(2007)773 final).
The Rapporteur, Mr Dave Quayle (UK/PES), would be very interested in having the opportunity to meet representatives of the associations of local and regional authorities for an informal consultation on the topic mentioned above. The adoption by the ECOS Commission of the draft opinion is foreseen for the 3 July, while the final opinion is foreseen to be adopted during the CoR Plenary Session in October.
The consultation will take place at the Committee of the Regions, on Thursday, 8 May 2008, from 11.00h. The meeting will be held in English. Please let me know by 5 May if you would like to attend.
In case you have a position paper on (or related to) the Commission communication, please send me copy before the meeting.
